Manhattans were my drink of choice over the holidays, but now I long for a cocktail with a bright note of tangy citrus (plus, the extra Vitamin C can’t hurt, either). Feeling good calls for the juice of a freshly squeezed orange and lemon. To add more depth, Aperol brings the essence of orange, and Licor 43 intensifies the lemon flavor.
Vita-Vitah is a great alternative to brunch Mimosas. The play between orange and lemon is a great example of why we should consume as much fresh citrus fruit as possible while it is are in season. Do use blood oranges, clementines or other types as alternatives if you feel so inclined.

Great looking cocktail, Ken! The exact thing I need to kick off the new year with.
So pretty and such a festive name!
Happy New Year! This drink looks so refreshing and I must say that citrus season make the cold winter months a little more bearable.
I’m really excited to try this cocktail as I’ve been drinking Aperol more and more it seems this winter. I was wondering if you had a recommendation for the gin? We typically use Hendricks but wanted to see if you had another suggestion.
Hendricks is a great choice. Plymouth is also a gin I would use. -Ken
